A variation from the previous sculpture. The eyes were further refined and smoothed with paper clay.

The initial painting treatment. Though I liked it by the light of day, it seemed like it might be too dark for the context in which it would be performed.

Sunset Elephant! I love it when I can conceal the eye-hole the actor looks through.

Hey Monkey Monkey! I used close-fitting face masks for the monkeys, and you can see the actor's eyes move.

The mask is painted so that the rays of the sun emanate from the nose of the clown, spreading warmth and joy.
